I visited Leo Getz' Booby
Trapped shareware site today to report on a nasty message that
popped up on my screen earlier while I was using an
application. To be honest, this is a site I don't visit too
often - when it comes to software booby traps I maintain a head in
the sand mentality.
Which is crazy of course - when you look at the huge number of
programs listed that can do all sorts of unpleasant things to your
computer there's no doubt that this is a subject we all need to stay
on top of.
What hit me was the number of well known programs on the
list. They're certainly ones that you see frequent cracks
for. So if you haven't been to this part of Leo's for a while
I'd recommend a visit!
I also called in to the Linkworld site. The links are starting to
increase nicely, with now over 200 sites of all kinds listed.
Well worth a visit. And I notice a big Linkworld banner at the
Elitetoplist site - great to see the two top links
pages working together. Between the two of them, they're great
places to visit for a browse if you've got a bit of extra time on
your hands over the holiday period.
OK, Christmas Eve here in Oz, so it's time to wish all readers
(those who celebrate Xmas) a fantastic day.
In the last look at cracks before the big day, the highlight is
certainly at Wolf's. Or rather akaWolf's. 81
new ones there in the daily crack section today.
Second point of call should probably be the Ebola Virus
Crew site. Quite a few application cracks, and also a few
of the game cracks the group is known for.
New ones too at the Exterminators, and also at Raybiez, where you
can find two Macromedia releases.
Well we've been looked after well throughout the year by the
people at VirusMD, and perhaps we can return the favour.
Featured on the front page of CNET's Download.com is VirusMD's latest program,
The VirusMD Family Webfilter. This is the world's
easiest-to-use content filtering software designed for
parents. If you're looking to purchase such a program, check
this one out - just $39.95.
That's it for today. Probably no update tomorrow, depending
on how much is consumed! All the best to everyone.
December 23 No Christmas wind down yet! Two absolute
exclusives to announce tonight, and also a fair few cracks
around!
Firstly - it's finally here! Everyone has seen the great
graphic work of Alfa over the past few months. Alfa graphics
have brought colour and style to many crack pages and other sites,
including The Flash, Leo Getz, Elitetoplist and of course the Zor
news and discussion board.
Now we've got the opportunity to see a full gallery of Alfa's fine
work. Today is the official opening day and Zor readers
can get in first. Head on over and be ready to be
amazed. No entry charge for this gallery, and the good thing
is that it's certainly no static display. Alfa will be
updating it regularly with his new work so visit it often! I've
linked the Alfa button on this site and the index page to the
gallery, so just click on it whenever you want to visit.
The second opening is that page I told you about yesterday.
We're lucky enough to have someone who has stepped into Wolf's shoes
while the genuine article is on a break. Through the combined
work of a couple of well known members of the cracking scene (who
wish to remain anonymous!) we can expect a continuation of the top
cracks coming from this site. Today we've got a full 47 new
ones in the Daily Crackz section, originating from a wide variety of
individuals and groups.
When I was at the site a minute ago the counter read just nine
visitors. So you've got the chance to get in early on this one!
Check out the 'akaWolf' site. I've changed the link to the
original Wolf site temporarily on the page listings until Wolf
returns in early January and takes over the reins again.
As far as new cracks go today, well TNT has to be the one,
with a big update. Check out the full list at the Flash.
Finally today, a top update has taken place at the SoftUnited
site!
